Organize a fundraiser to benefit The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island!

Annual Lloyd Frazier Memorial Golf & Tennis Outing

On Monday, June 9th, the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island will continue its tradition of remembering 9/11 Hero and McDonald’s Owner/Operator Lloyd Frazier at its Annual Golf & Tennis Outing.

On September 11, 2001, only four blocks from Ground Zero, McDonald’s Owner/Operator Lloyd Frazier watched the Twin Towers crumble with his own eyes. He instantly became a hero when he courageously crawled outside to pull a police officer and firefighter who had collapsed from smoke inhalation into his store. Without hesitation, Mr. Frazier established a McDonald’s mobile unit outside of his restaurant which provided over 700,000 free meals and bottled water to Ground Zero firefighters, police officers and rescue workers. His Chambers Street McDonald’s restaurant was referred to as “Hotel McDonald’s” by former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.

Sadly, Mr. Frazier passed away from lung cancer in 2006. His selflessness and positive spirit is remembered each year by the McDonald’s community at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island’s Lloyd Frazier Memorial Golf & Tennis Outing. This year's event will be held at Tam O'Shanter Country Club in Brookville, NY and honor Stacie & Tony Rodriguez, Former President and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, and McDonald's Owner/Operator, respectively. The all-day event includes brunch, lunch on the course, dinner and a special program, featuring honoree presentation, awards, silent and live auction, raffles and more.
