RMH-LI Appoints Michael L. Fallarino to Board of Directors
New Hyde Park, NY (January 2012) — The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island (RMH-LI) is proud to announce that Mr. Michael Fallarino, an avid philanthropist and Director of Finance at Farrell Fritz, P.C., a law firm serving the Long Island community, has been appointed to the organization’s Board of Directors.
Mr. Fallarino, a Levittown, NY resident, became involved with RMH-LI after a personal experience involving his niece, Tara Fallarino. In an effort to keep her spirit alive, he started a running team, “Team Tara,” where proceeds from the fundraisers support RMH-LI. “My goals are to inspire young people to become actively involved with the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island and philanthropic efforts in general,” said Mr. Fallarino. His passionate, enthusiastic and committed nature embody RMH-LI’s core values. “I am inspired to bring comfort and shelter to families facing a similar experience that my family once did,” he continued. He is also a member of the House’s Business Advisory Board.
“Michael has been an influential member of our organization for many years,” said Matthew Campo, RMH-LI’s Executive Director. “We are honored to announce that he is the newest addition to our Board of Directors, who work tirelessly to guide the success of our mission.”
The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is the 100th House of over 300 Ronald McDonald House programs worldwide. Located in New Hyde Park on the campus of the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York, the House accommodates families in a warm and supportive environment. Since opening in 1986, approximately 16,000 families from the United States and more than 80 countries around the world have been served. Many of the families are from Queens, Suffolk and Nassau Counties, as well as the surrounding metropolitan area.
