GREATER NHP CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DONATES DIGITAL MESSAGE BOARD SYSTEM TO RMH-LI

New Hyde Park, NY (May 2011) – On May 24th, The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island Executive Director Matthew Campo unveiled a brand new, state-of-the-art digital message board system donated by the Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce valued at over $1,700.

“This latest gift from the Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce will assist us in transitioning to a greener, more technologically advanced facility,” said Matthew Campo. “The new message board is not only informative, but very visually appealing. We are very thankful for the continued support and generosity from the Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce.”

The 46’ digital message board will display pertinent information for resident families, volunteers and visitors. Cheryl Fajardo, Chamber Director; Stewart Small, Chamber President and Richard DeMartino, Chamber Vice President were on-hand for the presentation at the House.

The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is a ‘home-away-from-home’ for families who are caring for seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment in area hospitals. Located in New Hyde Park on the campus of the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York, the House accommodates families in a warm and supportive environment. Since opening in 1986, approximately 16,000 families from the United States and more than 80 countries around the world have been served.  Many of the families are from Long Island and other parts of the Metropolitan area.
